Ö MAGAZÍN

A family story tied to the Ligurian Sea

The Mussini family has a deep connection with the Portofino sea through the Giorgio Mussini
boatyard, an iconic local name in boat building since 1949. Today, this connection is expressed through a group of four different dining establishments along the Riviera di Levante, under the ö Magazín brand.

Ö Magazín Ristörante, founded in 1991 from the family’s fishing gear shed, is a testament to the passion of sisters Emilia and Simona Mussini for seafood cuisine. Here, fish takes center stage in dishes that explore the true nuances of Ligurian cuisine, accompanied by a refined selection of local and international labels. The welcoming environment and the opportunity to dine “pieds-dans-l’eau” with a view of the Portofino harbor make every visit a memorable experience, where the sea and gastronomy meet in perfect harmony.

Just a few steps from ö Magazín Ristörante, along Calata Marconi, in a panoramic spot overlooking the Bay of Portofino, is ö Magazín Gelateria, the reference point for authentic Ligurian gelato. Here, guests can enjoy overflowing cups and walkaway cones, as well as breakfasts, light lunches, and delicious aperitifs.

In 2022, among the narrow streets of Santa Margherita Ligure, ö Magazín Österia was born, a genuine tribute to Genoese cuisine. Here, alongside ö Magazín’s signature dishes, ancient recipes using local ingredients come to life, expressing respect and gratitude for the region’s culinary heritage. The Österia thus becomes a reference point for those wishing to explore the authentic flavors of Liguria, in a welcoming and historically rich context where the Genoa of the past is revived.

Inside the Torretta of the newly renovated Porto Carlo Riva in Rapallo is Ö Magazín Al Pörto, the new “flagship” of the group created by Emilia and Simona, which continues the family tradition with Antonio, Emilia’s son. This unique location, surrounded by the sea, will feature on the ground floor a gelato shop and a new American bar, while on the first floor, there will be a restaurant offering traditional Ligurian maritime cuisine with a panoramic view of the port.
