Österia ö Magazín opened its doors in late 2022, when a simple chat between Emilia, Simona, and chef Edoardo Ferrera turned into the desire to want to bring authentic Genoese flavors back to the table.
Tradition and respect are the basic guidelines of the cuisine’s identity, which repurposes dishes from the middle-class homes of past generations, led by Genoese chef Edo Ferrera and his brigade. With a dynamic approach and an ever-watchful eye on original recipes from previous centuries, the kitchen team has devised a deeply appreciative menu that celebrates some of Liguria’s most iconic dishes: from Cima alla Genovese to Pandolce, to name a few
A journey into the genuine flavors of our region, telling our story starting from our origins to the present day through offerings in which past and present constitute the main ingredients for our Genoese cuisine of gratitude. An ode to lace tableware, to the scent of lavender that permeated the atmosphere in the old aristocratic houses, and to a Genoa that is no more, but continues to live on thanks to the food and wine specialties that we want to reintroduce with our menu.
A real temple of taste, the new artisanal fresh pasta workshop is the ideal place to try authentic genoese pansotti and ravioli. Local excellence to be enjoyed in combination with the best-loved sauces of the Ligurian tradition. The workshop is located next to our Österia and also offers tasty lunch boxes.
